Real Trains

The Morristown and Erie is our local freight railroad. |

This is NJ Transit's newest class of electric locomotive. This
picture was taken through the windshield of the car on a very rainy day. |

While I was in Naperville I spent about 45 minutes at the train station,
watching the evening rush hour of Metra commuter trains from Chicago. In that time,
I saw 5 trains come through. |

This is Metra's newest type of locomotive, on a couple of months old when
I took the picture. |

This was the second train to stop at Naperville |

This express train blasted right through the station without stopping |

The basic pictures are of my models, taken on the layout of my friend Ed
Sproles. In the computer I added the sky, some extra foliage, smoke, fog,
and weathering. These pictures were entered in Model Railroader magazine's
2002 Photo Contest, but they didn't win anything. Despite that, I'm quite
proud of them.
